A Time Traveling Adventure with Author Sean O’Brien (4-6:30 p.m.)
Former White House speechwriter Sean O’Brien will discuss his new book, White House Clubhouse, and lead kids on a creative adventure to write their own time traveling story at the Burke Centre Library.

Coffee, Cookies, Crafts and Conversations (2-4 p.m.)
Join us once a month for coffee, cookies, crafts and conversation at the Great Falls Library. Bring your own sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting or embroidery projects.
Shot in the Dark (7:30 p.m.)
Participate in the Shot in the Dark golf tournament at Burke Lake Golf Center. Complete this 9-hole scramble using a glow-in-the-dark ball. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. Registration includes one glow ball, a flashlight and dinner.
Campfire Fridays (7-8:30 p.m.)
Join us for an evening campfire at Lake Fairfax. Enjoy nature walks, interactive activities, animal presentations and s’mores.

Skate the Wake (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Enjoy a day filled with skating, music and all-around fun at Wakefield Park. Meet Mimi Knoop, five-time X-Games medalist and coach of the USA Skateboarding team. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume and enjoy food, music, vendors and fun activities.

Solar Eclipse Extravaganza at County Parks (Noon)
Visit our parks for viewings of an annular eclipse, also known as a "ring of fire" eclipse. The moon will partially eclipse the sun as they both travel across the sky. Enjoy various related games, activities and demonstrations at Burke Lake Park, the Sully Historic Site, Historic Huntley and Turner Farm Park.
Centreville Day (10 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Join us for the 31st annual Centreville Day celebration at Historic Centreville Park. This free event will have a marketplace, food, music, rides for children and more. Free shuttles will be available.
Spoke 'n Word: W&OD Trail Takeover (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Herndon Fortnightly Public Library is joining the Loudoun County Public Library and Arlington County Public Library to take over the 45 miles of the W&OD Trail. Enjoy any section of the trail across the three counties and stop by tents with library staff and community partners for water and bike-related giveaways.
Fall Festival (10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Celebrate the one year anniversary of the opening of the Lorton Community Center and Library. The Fall Festival will take place outside in the park and include activities for kids and families, vendors, food and music.
Sherwood Community Health Fair (11 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Join us for the Sherwood Community Health Fair at the Sherwood Regional Library. Get information about SNAP, Medicaid, the Medical Care for Children Partnership program and other services. A CareVan will provide flu shots, COVID vaccines and more.

Come enjoy a performance by this talented group of young dancers as they present classic and modern dance routines at the Reston Regional Library.
Fabric Swap (11 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Join us for our first annual fabric swap at the Pohick Regional Library. Participants will be able to trade fabric, sewing needles, thimbles, pins, buttons, zippers and more.
