Community Invited to Homelessness Task Force Learning Sessions April 23, June 2
Fairfax City Councilmembers So Lim and Kate Doyle Feingold, along with Mayor Catherine Read, have scheduled Community Learning Sessions connected to the Homelessness Task Force:
Sunday, April 23 • 4:30-5:30 p.m. City of Fairfax Regional Library, 10360 North St., Conference Rooms A&B Friday, June 2 • 10-11 a.m. Fairfax City Hall Annex, 10455 Armstrong St., Room 111 A-B (work session room)
At these learning sessions, please be prepared to discuss these questions and their solutions:
- How do you perceive the issue of homelessness?
- How does homelessness in the city impact you?
- By working together as a community, what could be the potential outcomes related to homelessness & housing insecurity?
- What could you do to address homelessness?
The learning sessions are an opportunity for the community at large to receive information about and engage with city leaders regarding the Homelessness Task Force.
The purpose of the Homelessness Task Force is to help the city to be a community that supports all people, accomplished through facilitated community dialogue and interface with existing systems serving individuals at risk or experiencing homelessness.
