General Election Nov. 2, 2021
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 2, 2021.
On the ballot: Virginia Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, House of Delegates (37th District), City of Fairfax Commissioner of the Revenue, and City of Fairfax Treasurer.

What You Need to Know: At the Polls

- Polls open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- if you are in line at 7 p.m., you will be able to vote.
- To locate or confirm your polling location, click here.
- Please wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
- Bring your ID.
- Follow the directions of the officers of elections, and fill out your ballot correctly.
- If you received an absentee ballot but wish to vote in-person, please bring your absentee ballot with you to the polls.

Completed by-mail ballots may be dropped in a drop box at any precinct, including the drop box outside theAtrium entrance to City Hall.

Election results are posted as soon as possible after polls close.
Results reported on Election Night will include all in-person voting and all ballots received by mail or in-person by Election Day.
Ballots mailed by Nov. 2 and received before noon on Nov. 5 also will be counted and included in the final results.

EXTENDED IN-PERSON VOTING HOURS?
The City of Fairfax is conducting a survey to assess future interest in Sunday or extended weekday evening hours for in‐person early voting. Please take a moment to complete the survey at bit.ly/2021CoFSurvey.
The Electoral Board will use survey results to gauge interest and need for extended hours.
Please note: no changes would take place until after the 2021 elections.
