Celebrate National Arts in Education Week! 🎨

PWCS is proud to celebrate National Arts in Education Week, September 13–19. Every day, students across PWCS explore their creativity through dance, music, theatre, and visual arts while building skills that support success in school and beyond.

📚 Explore the Secondary Speciality Programs Fair

Families of students in grades 5–10 are invited to attend the PWCS Secondary Specialty Programs Fair from 5:30–8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

This new event brings together specialty programs, career and technical education courses, and advanced academic opportunities in one location, helping students explore options aligned to their interests and future goals. Register by September 18.

Supporting Student Well-Being with Hazel Health ⭐️

At Prince William County Public Schools, we know that students thrive when they have access to the support they need. Through our partnership with Hazel Health, PWCS students have access to optional virtual mental health counseling services at no cost to families, provided by licensed mental health professionals.

Whether your child is experiencing stress, anxiety, difficulties with peers, challenges at school, or other concerns that may be affecting their well-being, Hazel Health offers a convenient way to connect with support from home, including:

Virtual counseling sessions with licensed mental health clinicians.

Counseling services in 19 different languages.

Flexible appointment times, including evening and weekend availability.

Confidential, individualized support tailored to your child's needs.

🗓️ September is Suicide Prevention Month

September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, strengthen connections, and encourage help-seeking. Learn how taking time to notice changes in others, asking an extra question, and staying connected can have a lasting impact.

Governor of Virginia Visits PWCS

Governor of Virginia Abigail Spanberger visited Osbourn Park High School alongside state education leaders as part of the Strong Schools Tour, meeting with students and educators and exploring how PWCS is preparing learners for success in the classroom and beyond.
