In middle school, students can access accelerated math, extended language arts, International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme science courses, and early world language instructionābuilding strong foundations for high school success.

In high school, opportunities expand to include Advanced Placement (AP), IB, the Cambridge Programme, and dual enrollment. Last year alone, PWCS students earned nearly 44,000 college credits, representing about $17.5 million in potential tuition savings for families.

Testing season can bring heightened anxiety and stress for many students. Here are some signs your student may need extra support:
- Worrying about assignments and deadlines.
- Having difficulty concentrating or changes in grades.
- Feeling restless, anxious, or irritable.
- Procrastinating or avoiding schoolwork or studying.
- Withdrawing from family or friends

The 2026 Governorās School @ Innovation Park Student Research Symposium will take place from 8 ā 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center (9100 Freedom Center Blvd., Manassas, VA 20110).Ā
This is an opportunity to see the results of our students' yearlong research projects. There will also be opportunities to speak with students in an informal presentation gallery.
