Cell Phone-Free Learning Starts Tomorrow!
All PWCS schools will begin the year with the new cell phone-free education policy designed to support student success, engagement, and well-being. Here are a few key reminders about what families need to know:
🎒 Elementary and Combination (K-8 and Traditional) Schools: Phones must be turned off and stored away all day and may not be used at any time within the school building or on school grounds, including field trips.
🏫 Middle & High Schools: Phones must be off and stored away during the bell-to-bell school day and during any instructional periods, including field trips.
📞 Need to reach your student? You can call the school's office. Students may also use a phone in the school office to contact a parent/guardian if needed.
The new policy will remove a major distraction in the classroom and help create environments where learning thrives so students can stay present and engaged.

From the Curb to the Classroom
🚌 Did You Know? The PWCS Transportation Department safely transports more than 60,000 students to and from school every day during the school year. The fleet of over 800 buses travels a whopping 10–11 million miles each school year!!
Those big yellow buses will be back on the roads tomorrow, and so will increased traffic around schools across the county. It’s a great time to brush up on transportation tips and safety reminders to help us roll into a safe and successful school year.
- Access the PWCS school bus safety and transportation pages to learn how to support safe travel and review important procedures for families and drivers.
- Find bus stops and schedule information in ParentVUE and StudentVUE. Be sure to double-check your student's bus information tonight in case there are any changes to bus times or locations.
- You can also download the new EZ A2B Bus Tracking App, which allows you to track your child's bus and get alerts for delays or changes.
Let's roll into a safe and successful school year!
