PWCS expands work-based learning opportunities for all students
PWCS is committed to ensuring every student has the chance to thrive post-graduation, whether they choose college or enter the workforce.
Over the years, PWCS has made significant strides in providing work-based learning opportunities. This strategic priority has led to remarkable growth in internship experiences, with 751 documented internships—far surpassing our initial goal of 500. And we're not stopping there; 2025 promises even more opportunities for our students.
Our efforts don't end with internships. In just four years, we've grown our formal CTE work-based learning business partners from zero to 366. Additionally, over the past three years, we've secured 3,430 summer jobs for our juniors and seniors, with more to come in 2025.

Also, PWCS offers free online mental health telehealth services for students through Hazel Health. Licensed professionals provide support from home. For more information, visit the Hazel Health webpage or contact your student's school social worker.
Family Engagement Series for the month of May that you don't want to miss!
PWCS hosts Family Engagement Series throughout the school year surrounding different topics. This month, there are several sessions to check out!

Summer program registration is underway ☀️
As we approach the end of the school year, we want to ensure your child doesn't miss out on our academic support summer programs. Registration is now open, and schools are actively notifying students identified by their teachers or counselors as needing to attend summer school.
Key deadlines:

Elementary and middle school students: Register by May 23, 2025

High school students: Register by June 6, 2025
Discovery Enrichment Programs registration is also underway. These programs are open to all students. There is a tuition cost for Discovery Enrichment Programs but scholarships are available.
