Things to know this week in PWCS |

A division that reads together, achieves together! 📚
Sunday, March 2, is Read Across America Day! In PWCS, we emphasize the importance of reading every day, and we know that literacy doesn't end when the school day does. We encourage you to continue fostering a love for reading at home. Here are some ways to connect your student with reading:
- For high school students, inspire your teen to read by linking it to their passions or future career goals.
- For middle school students, give them the freedom to choose a book they find interesting. A family trip to the library or bookstore can provide a variety of options.
- For elementary students, reading to and with emerging readers is always beneficial. Let them hear fluent reading, regardless of their age.
- For all levels, modeling reading and reading out loud at home is a fantastic way to encourage a love for reading and can be done in any language!
Visit PWCS.edu for more resources to support your student's foundational skills.

Countdown to SAT Day: Free online SAT prep resources
In just 31 days, on April 2, all PWCS juniors will have the opportunity to take the SAT at no cost during the school day.
To help students prepare for the SAT, PWCS students have access to free online test prep resources from Khan Academy and Varsity Tutors.
These online resources are in addition to every PWCS high school offering free, after-school SAT prep sessions for 11th grade students.
We encourage you to create a plan for your student to take advantage of these free SAT prep resources if college is part of their postsecondary goals.
