PWCS School Board to Consider Cell Phone-Free Education Policy
The Prince William County School Board will vote at the Wednesday, December 4 School Board meeting on a new policy aimed at limiting cell phone usage in schools to improve student focus, enhance engagement, and boost academic success.
Options for consideration include requiring cell phones to be turned off and stored away for the entire school day at all levels or allowing high schoolers to use their cell phones during lunch and hallway passing periods.
