Battlefield High School student leadership classes organized and carried out the Care Bear Boxes project collecting over 250 donations for their local food pantry, homeless shelter and children’s hospital.
At Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School, students caroled around the school using American Sign Language.
Ellis Elementary School hosted an international tree-lighting ceremony with a tree donated by the Jack and Jill Foundation that was decorated with handmade ornaments of the students' home country.
Winter served as inspiration for students working on art projects at Fred Lynn Middle School.
Kilby Elementary School had a Winter Wonderland event where families came and participated in fun winter-themed math and reading games. The school collected gift donations for over 100 families.
The music club at Minnieville Elementary School visited Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons to spread holiday cheer with music and crafts.
At Potomac High School, leadership and yearbook students spearheaded a school and community Angel Tree project to brighten the holidays for local families.

Potomac Middle School EL students compared holidays in their native country to holidays in the United States.
The Prince William County Police Department brought Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves for a visit to wish students and staff happy holidays at several schools across the division.
At Rippon Middle School, eighth grade band students brought holiday cheer through music as they made their rounds through the school. School Resource Officer Troy Hance joined in on saxophone.
A gingerbread-themed sensory night with was a big hit at the Swans Creek Elementary School winter holiday event.
Members of the SAVE Club at Unity Reed High School visited the Manassas Health and Rehab Center to sing holiday songs and provide gift bags to residents.
T. Clay Wood Elementary School's Timberwolf choral students gave the gift of music this season through their winter concerts.
First graders at Victory Elementary School built polar bear dens out of marshmallows and explored how these animals stay warm in the arctic.
At Yorkshire Elementary School, first graders grabbed a ticket and “traveled around the world” to learn about different holidays.

Students in C.D. Hylton High School's CISL program hosted a meal-packing event with Rise Against Hunger in which Hylton High students, parents, and community member volunteers packed more than 10,000 meals for people in need. Read More >>
