Native American Culture comes alive at Occoquan Elementary School
Students at Occoquan Elementary School are learning about Native Americans and their contributions, such as oral storytelling and their doll-making process. Students made dolls and retold their favorite parts of a story, sharing the lessons they learned. Watch Video >>

School counselors provide additional support to seniors during National Scholarship Awareness Month in November
November is National Scholarship Awareness Month and our school counselors and college and career counselors stand ready to help students investigate, search, source, and apply for scholarship money to aid in their post-secondary education. Read More >>
As a reminder, there will be no school for all PWCS students on Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7 for parent-teacher conferences and teacher workdays. PWCS schools and offices will be closed on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day.

Pumpkin the Rabbit creates learning opportunities for students at Brentsville District High School
Pumpkin the rabbit can often be found exploring the agriculture classroom at Brentsville District High School. “She loves being here in the classroom with the kids,” shared Amy Beard, teacher at Brentsville. “It gives us many different opportunities,” Beard said of the lessons in animal care, animal science, and responsibility that Pumpkin helps teach.
