Community partnerships expand STEM opportunities for PWCS students
Supporting Partnerships and Resources for Kids (SPARK), the education foundation for Prince William County Public Schools, is proud to be working with AWS InCommunities and the Children’s Science Center Lab to provide STEM field trips and other learning opportunities for PWCS students. Students from across the county visit the Children’s Science Center Lab to experience unique hands on activities.

Belmont Elementary School students visit science center
Environmental literacy came alive for students from Belmont Elementary School as they visited the George Mason University's Potomac Science Center, conveniently located across the street from the school. Students spent the morning at the science center along the Chesapeake Bay watershed learning about water quality, erosion, and how animals adapt to their environment. Watch Video>>

Student immunizations due by August 17, 2023, to begin new school year
Students must have required immunizations to attend school in PWCS. The deadline to meet the immunization requirements for the upcoming school year is August 17, 2023. If required immunization documentation is not provided by the deadline date, the student will not be permitted to start school on Monday, August 21, 2023.
Parents/guardians may view information about student immunization compliance in ParentVUE. For specific questions about immunization non-compliance or for assistance in setting up a ParentVUE account, please contact your school. Read More >>
Step Up and Show Out Showcase 2023 Saturday, June 3 2 p.m. at Forest Park High School
Sponsored by B and B Maintenance and Saunders Middle School, the Step Up and Show Out Showcase brings together seven school step teams to show off their moves and enthusiasm through the expression of step.
Featured Performers:
The Spartan Steppers from Saunders Middle School, The B.E.A.M. Steppers of Fannie W. Fitzgerald Elementary, Porter Step-N-Dance of Porter Traditional School, Intensity of Freedom High School, Hylton Soul Steppers of C.D. Hylton High School, BHS Purple Diamond Step Team of Battlefield High School, and Wolverine Thunder of North Stafford High School.
Doors open at 1 p.m. for general admission. $5 admission at the door. Free entry for all elementary students and younger. All proceeds will go back to the step teams participating to enrich their teams for the following school year.
