2023 Science Fair Showcases Exceptional Talent   Congratulations to the 143 middle and 74 high school students whose projects were selected to compete at the 2023 Prince William-Manassas Regional Science and Engineering Fair.  Five projects in the senior division were awarded a grand prize. 9-year-old Siya Sampath spells her way to national competition

Congratulations to Siya Sampath, fourth grade student at Alvey Elementary School, for winning the 2023 Prince William County Spelling Bee. Siya clinched the championship with her successful spelling of the word “gallivat," topping 40 other spellers from elementary and middle schools around the county to win the bee. Siya advances to represent Prince William County Schools at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in June. Watch video

Learning on the Job, Everybody Wins - PWCS and NVCC partnership

PWCS teachers across the county are working with Northern Virginia Community College students as part of a grant program to encourage education as a profession. NVCC students work at a designated school site for 50 hours and at the completion of their time are eligible to be hired as a substitute teacher in the division. Watch Video
