PWCS is gearing up to be summer strong
This summer, Prince William County Public Schools offers both an academic recovery/support (Launch) program and an enrichment (Discovery) program for students in grades kindergarten through 12.
Registration for all programs runs through May 26, 2023.

PWCS announces the finalists for the 2023 Outstanding Educators Awards
Congratulations to the finalists for PWCS Novice Teacher of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Principal of the Year. These finalists will be recognized, and the winners announced, at a ceremony on May 10.

PWCS students serve on the Human Rights Student Leadership Council
The Human Rights Student Leadership Council (HRSLC) helps develop young leaders and promotes dialogue on diversity, understanding, and an appreciation of the differences among students. CroppMetcalfe van donation provides learning opportunities for two CTE programs
CroppMetcalfe, a local plumbing company, donated a van to the plumbing program at Gar-Field High School allowing students to become familiar with real-world service vehicle is like. Previously, the van was a learning tool for Osbourn Park High School’s automotive technology class. Watch Video >>

Sinclair Elementary School student leaders help homeless animals
Students in Sinclair Elementary School’s leadership group organized a drive to gather needed items for the animals at the Prince William County Animal Shelter. The young leaders dropped off their donated items and had the opportunity to learn firsthand more about how the shelter operates. Watch Video>>
Students learn to self-regulate at Fitzgerald Elementary School’s new sensory room
The newly unveiled sensory room at Fitzgerald Elementary is open to all students and designed to reduce stress and have a calming effect on mind and body. The goal is for students to learn skills to help themselves regulate their emotions, and return to the classroom ready to learn. Watch Video >>
