CTE Career Fair draws hundreds of students

PWCS students connected with employers at the CTE Career Fair held at Gainesville High School. Employers provided information to students about ways their academic interests and technical pursuits could align with future employment in a variety of career fields.

School Board Passes Fiscal Year 2024 Budget

Students and staff are prioritized by next year's approved PWCS budget, as an estimated 80% of expenditures will be invested in supporting the instructional core: students, staff, and curriculum.

Tuesday, March 21 - 7 p.m. - Family Engagement Webinar - Chronic Absenteeism & Dropout Prevention

This virtual session will provide families resources for getting students re-engaged and re-enrolled in PWCS. PWCS re-enrollment and registration events, will be discussed to assist families with identifying academic needs for their student(s) and possibly themselves.

Thursday, March 23 - 6:30 – 8 p.m. - REVIVE! Narcan Training for Parents at the Kelly Leadership Center

In partnership with Prince William County Community Services, PWCS is hosting a REVIVE! training session for parents and families at the Kelly Leadership Center. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to opioid overdose emergencies with Naloxone. All participants are eligible to receive free Narcan nasal spray upon training completion.

Get back on track toward earning a high school diploma or GED

Looking for options on getting your student or a young person you know re-engaged and re-enrolled in PWCS? Several in-person events are scheduled that provide students with the ability to re-enroll in an educational program or school that meets their individual needs.

Tuesday, March 21 - 3-6 p.m. at Unity Reed High School

Wednesday, May 10 - 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Kelly Leadership Center
