PWCS students honor Dr. King’s vision, message of nonviolence and equality during 2023 MLK Program

PWCS student talent was on display at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Youth Oratorical Competition and Program, held virtually on January 16, 2023. The event is held each year on the MLK holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Congratulations to these outstanding orators.

Outstanding Educator Awards recognize teachers, principals

Nominate a teacher or principal who goes above and beyond to excel in their profession. Visit the Outstanding Educators webpage to view the guidelines and submission process. All nominations are due by Friday, February 10, 2023.

Launch your career as an educator in PWCS

PWCS is excited to host an in-person Instructional Job Fair on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Register for the Job Fair
Complete a certified application (required for attendance at the fair)
Receive a confirmation and attend the fair to join the instructional team in PWCS

The last day of the second quarter is January 27

Families are reminded to check in on your student's real-time grade through ParentVUE now and address any progress concerns. Middle and high school report cards will be mailed on February 8. Elementary school report cards will be available in ParentVUE after February 8.

• Elementary School Half-Day for Parent/Teacher Conferences on Friday, January 27 (Elementary school students will have an early dismissal.) View the Half-Day Bell Schedule

• Teacher Workday on Monday, January 30 (No school for all students.)

Specialty Program applications for the 2023-24 school year are due February 1.

Register for the virtual Family Engagement session Understanding Mental Health provided by National Alliance Of Mental Illness on Tuesday, January 24.

Among our outstanding principals we are celebrating next week is Deanna Libby, who served as assistant principal at Kyle Wilson Elementary School before taking the reins there now as principal.
