Freedom High School ushers in Hispanic Heritage Month with parade
Month of activities at the school highlights appreciation for Hispanic heritage
Freedom High School is fully immersed in showcasing Hispanic heritage. That’s because its Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15, and the school is celebrating the rich cultural diversity its Hispanic students bring to the community. Marching bands, parades, music, and dancing are just a few of the ways the school showed its appreciation.
Bel Air Elementary School students and staff build a sense of global citizenship

Families invited to a Financial Aid Overview Webinar on October 3
The PWCS Parent Learning Series is hosting a Financial Aid Overview webinar from 4-5 p.m. on October 3, 2022. This webinar will provide helpful information for parents/guardians and students on the following topics: Virginia college costs, federal and state financial aid to include the FAFSA and VASA, scholarships, and family conversations about college financial planning—all important areas when focusing on paying for a college education. Reminder about student vaccine requirements
If your student is non-compliant with required immunizations for the 2022-23 school year, schedule an appointment with your health care provider, the Prince William Health District, an urgent care or your local pharmacy for your child to receive the missing immunization(s). Read more.>>

PWC Historical Society erects marker for teachers instrumental in desegregation in Prince William County Public Schools
Community members gathered at Fitzgerald Elementary School for the unveiling of the Courageous Four historical marker. Mary G. Porter, Maxine Coleman, Zella Brown, and Fannie Fitzgerald bravely worked to desegregate Prince William County schools following the Supreme Court’s ruling in 1954 that segregated schools were unconstitutional.
