Career and Technical Education courses can jump-start careers for PWCS graduates
November is National Apprenticeship Month. Through public and private partnerships, area businesses offer apprenticeships to PWCS students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses, including auto technology at C.D. Hylton High School and the plumbing program at Gar-Field High School.

Parents as Educational Partners at Yorkshire Elementary School inspires three parents to become PWCS employees
As we near the close of Family Engagement in Schools Month, learn more about three Yorkshire Elementary School parents who participated in the Parents as Educational Partners (PEP) program and later became PWCS employees. The PEP program develops that interest in parents to be more involved in their students' education.
"The PEP program is important because it gives you the tools to keep going and achieve your goals," said Rosa Sandoval, a Yorkshire Elementary parent, PEP program participant, and now PWCS preschool teacher's assistant.
All PWCS schools and offices will be closed Wednesday, November 24 through Friday, November 26. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!
