Creative scheduling and coordination has allowed PWCS robotics teams at all levels to do what they love; build, program, and compete!
The School Division robotics teams have already racked up several big wins this season. VEX Team 20164T, also known as the Tiger Sharks, from Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School, took first place at the VEX Robotics Seton Christmas tournament and Team Spunkies at Chris Yung Elementary School took first place at the Virginia + DC FIRST LEGO League (FLL) tournament. Potomac Middle School seventh grader Natalya Barnwell and her sister, Jalynn, a fourth grader at Mary Williams Elementary School, have started a handmade jewelry business and are donating some of the profits to local charities. Read more.

Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 30, 2021, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in Prince William County Public Schools for the 2021-22 school year. Online registration for the 2021-22 school year will open on March 22 and run through April 23, 2021. The kindergarten registration process can be accessed from the PWCS 2021-22 Kindergarten Registration webpage.

PWCS shares schedule for Advanced Placement testing |
PWCS will offer Advanced Placement (AP) testing according to the set CollegeBoard schedule. Help sessions and alternative testing dates and formats have been provided for those students who need them. Read more.
Rising juniors and seniors: Apply to be a 2021-22 Student Representative to the Prince William County School Board

The School Board seeks two student representatives and an alternate to provide non-voting input and insight for the 2021-22 school year. Rising juniors and seniors are eligible to apply.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021.

In partnership with SPARK, the education foundation for PWCS, the Manassas Ballet Theater is bringing the production of "Peter and the Wolf and More" to students and families.
The streaming performance will be available for 30 days beginning 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 27. This production is open to all ages but may be best enjoyed by elementary students.

IT schedules maintenance on March 19

Information Technology Services will be performing routine maintenance on PWCS systems and applications from 5 - 9 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021.
Division-wide internet access, including the guest network, as well as VPN access and the PWCS intranet will be affected. Cloud-based applications such as Outlook, Office 365, The Hub, and Canvas will be available outside of the PWCS network.

C.D. Hylton High School seniors receive surprise goodie bags and yard signs
Teachers, administrators, and other staff members from C.D. Hylton High School recently delivered a big surprise to members of the Class of 2021. Seniors woke up to a yard sign planted on their lawns and Hylton High "senior swag" items on their front porches.
Principal David Cassady explained, “Our goal is to honor our seniors this year at Hylton High School and let them show off that they are graduating in 2021.”
