Mitigation strategies are in place for in-person learning at all levels
Osbourn Park High School principal, Lisamarie Kane, shares her school's mitigation strategies in this video
As PWCS welcomes more students back for in-person learning in the Hybrid model, our schools have prepared by implementing required mitigation strategies to help keep students and staff safe. Appropriate signage is displayed on floors and walls, classrooms are arranged to provide for distancing, and hand sanitizer stations are placed around the buildings. Help us by reminding your students to follow all directions and keep students at home if they are sick.

Fourth quarter student-preferred attendance selection
|
|
Parents or guardians of students currently attending “virtual-only” learning who wish to have their student(s) attend in-person for the fourth quarter (begins April 6) may do so by contacting their student(s)' school through Friday, March 12. |
Please note that due to required health mitigations, transportation, and other logistical considerations, your student’s schedule and teacher assignments could change to accommodate the in-person attendance. Additionally, depending upon available classroom space, some students may be less than six feet apart with additional health mitigations, as approved by the Virginia Department of Health.
Students may choose to switch to “virtual-only” learning at any time by notifying your school. However, after March 12, any student changing from “in-person” to “virtual-only,” will not be able to change back to in-person (with limited exception for a required learning need), due to the challenges of scheduling, health mitigation space requirements, and other considerations.
