Talia Levy, a ninth-grade student at C.D. Hylton High School, created the “Money Moves for Teens" podcast to educate kids on money management and encourage them to begin preparing for their future. Levy also offers a math tutoring service for students. Read more.

Introduce a Girl to STEAM Day is a free event open to all PWCS middle school students and is designed to introduce young women and their parents/guardians to science, technology, engineering, art, math (STEAM) careers. This year’s event will be held virtually from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021.

Safe Schools Advisory Council hosts webinar on Thursday, February 4
Join the conversation around social media and its impact on today's “instant generation.” Topics will focus on social media's influence on our youth, how to develop healthy digital habits, protecting the digital reputations of our youth, and building positive relationships online.
The webinar will be an hour long followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers. Limited to 500 participants. The webinar will be available on-demand for those who can't participate live.

Please follow the Parent Learning Series Canvas Course link to enroll by using either your student's Canvas account or your Observer/Parent Access account. After clicking the link, you will be prompted to log in to your Microsoft Office 365 account if not already logged into Canvas. Once you have joined the course, it will be viewable in your student's Canvas Dashboard.

Teachers and staff at Lake Ridge Elementary School are putting emphasis on social and emotional learning amid the pandemic. Giving students, parents, and teachers alike tools for calming their minds, Diana Johnson, counselor, and Jenni Rigot, French teacher, lead the community in mindfulness exercises on the school's morning announcements.
