The Mountain View Elementary School Bookmobile is delivering library books and bringing smiles to students' faces
Among the things elementary school students miss about being in their buildings are their visits to the school library. Curbside pick-up of library books was going well, but Mountain View Elementary Librarian Karen Scott wanted students to have even more opportunity to get excited about reading. Working with staff and the PWCS Office of Transportation Services, the bookmobile was born.

Featherstone Elementary School teachers help upgrade student virtual learning spaces
Inspired by the "Desks by Dad" initiative started by a parent in Maryland, Featherstone Elementary School teachers and husband/wife team Sarah and Christopher Eckenrode are custom-building desks for students to use at home in the virtual learning setting.
The duo reached out to the Maryland family, asked if they would be willing to share a desk pattern, and “Project Study Station” for Featherstone Elementary students was born.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Walts stopped by the school to show support for the Eckenrodes' efforts and join in on the desk building himself. Watch Video
The Eckenrodes are working to fulfill the needs of their Featherstone families, and if funds are available, they hope to help other school communities as well. Donate to Project Study Station.
