Check out sample student schedules for second quarter 50/50 model
To help better explain what a school day looks like for second-quarter learning in PWCS, we have developed example schedules for all levels.
Week-at-a glance in the 50/50 hybrid model
Sample in-person daily schedule for elementary school
Sample in-person daily schedule for middle school
Sample in-person daily schedule for high school
Key highlights:
- Mondays will remain an all virtual day at all levels, used for a variety of purposes including teacher-student check-in, mental health and/or counselor meetings, teacher planning, and professional development.
- All students will receive live lesson(s)/instruction Tuesday-Friday. On days students are not in-person (including 100 percent virtual students), they will participate via live streaming for each class. However, live streaming may not encompass the entire class period. Independent work/assignments may be completed asynchronously using Canvas.

Parents: make your selection for second quarter learning in ParentVUE by October 4
Choose to attend in-person 50 percent or remain 100 percent virtual
|
|
Parents and guardians may now use the web version of ParentVUE or the app to update your choice for your student(s) attending in-person or virtual in the second quarter starting November 10. The choice is open through Sunday, October 4, 2020. |
If choosing the virtual-only option, parents/guardians are asked to commit to virtual-only for at least the entire second quarter. This is necessary as in-person capacity caps will be needed for planning to accommodate social distancing requirements.
If you do not need to update your selections, no action is needed. If no selections are made at all, your student’s enrollment option will default to in-person.
View instructions for making second quarter selection.
Face Coverings will be required for in-person learning
A minimum of three feet of physical distancing is required for students attending in-person under the 50/50 hybrid models. As such, face coverings will be required for all staff and students the majority of the school day to include: in hallways between classes, common areas, classrooms, and on school buses. View Regulation 275-2, "Emergency Face Covering Requirements."
