Parent Pointers: Canvas
Canvas is the new learning management system for the 2020-21 school year. This platform allows teachers to create virtual classrooms for delivery of instruction to students remotely and in-person, and provides access for parents/guardians to follow along with their students' courses and learning.

The Office of Student Learning in conjunction with PWCS Instructional Technology Coaches wiill continue to offer live parent-training sessions and video tutorials over the next several weeks. Follow PWCS Facebook and Twitter channels for announcements about these offerings.

Shop tax free for back-to-school needs August 7-9
School supplies selling for $20 or less per item and articles of clothing, including footwear, selling for $100 or less per item, will be exempt from sales tax during the Virginia Sales Tax Holiday scheduled for Friday, August 7, through Sunday, August 9, 2020. The savings are available for online and in-store shopping.
Families are encouraged to take advantage of these savings to prepare their students for the upcoming school year. Check your school’s website or contact your child’s school for the 2020-21 supply list.
