PWCS Transportation Services Honors the Class of 2020
Rosa Amusa, administrative coordinator for central transportation, and other staff members from Transportation Services honored the graduating Class of 2020 in a unique way. They collaborated to line up 22 school buses to form the number 2020 when seen from above.
Keith Laine, director of student activities at Osbourn Park High School, had recently heard of this happening elsewhere and shared the idea with his principal, Neil Beech. Beech took the idea to Transportation Services and connected with Amusa. The result was a wonderful tribute to all the 2020 graduates in PWCS.

Teachers, students at Montclair Elementary School create fun educational videos virtually
Montclair Elementary School teachers, Lisa Bogar, Tina Katz, and Sarah Sanders are creating fun virtual videos with their students and posting them on social media.
Sanders and her students shared how math is cool by demonstrating different ways to show multiplying four times six in their video. She sent instructions to parents and students, and parents either emailed or sent the video through Google Voice. Sanders then edited the video and shared it via social media.

“So many of the kids were excited about being in the video. When I shared the final product, I could see the biggest smiles on all their faces,” shared Sanders.
Bogar and Katz have had similar responses from their videos as well.
To keep the students engaged with virtual learning, Sanders and the rest of the Montclair Elementary teachers post weekly video lessons and choice boards for the students on the Montclair webpage. The students enjoy making projects and completing activities online.
Sanders misses her students and stated, “The most effective and engaging moments with my kids are when they see my face or one of the teachers I work with. Relationships are so important for our students and I am thankful I have had excellent participation in virtual class meetings.”
