Leaf Raking - Athletic Booster Club
The temperature is dropping, the leaves are falling, and that means it's time for the FCHS Athletic Boosters' annual Leaf Raking fundraiser! Thank you for your previous support -- our Jaguar athletes would love to rake your leaves again this year! This year, our Jaguar athletes will be in the community raking leaves on Saturday, November 21.
Please fill out this form if you'd like to be included!
https://forms.gle/CqSfGg2KRFKPSs4g6
We offer two options:
1. Our student athletes will rake your leaves to the curb; or
2. They will bag your leaves (you may provide the paper bags or we can provide them at a cost of $1 each; paper bags comply with Fairfax County's "no plastic bags" ordinance).
The minimum suggested contributions, based on the size of your yard, are: Small yards ($100); Medium yards ($200); Large yards ($300); and Extra Large yards ($375), plus the cost of bags if we provide them. Of course, since this is a fundraiser, we would greatly appreciate amounts that help us reach our fundraising goals! The size of your yard also helps us plan logistics for each day of raking.
Please note that this is a "leaves-only" fundraiser; we will not be able to clear brush, branches, rocks, limbs, trash or debris. While you do not need to be home when we rake, it is preferred. In addition, we do ask that to the greatest extent possible, you advise us of obstacles/hazards in your yard in advance and that your yard is free of pet droppings. We want to ensure that our student (and adult) volunteers stay free from injury and that no equipment or property is damaged.
Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and will be confirmed via return email. Please feel free to let your neighbors know about our fundraiser!
The Falls Church High School Boosters is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports every athlete and every team at Falls Church High High School. While FCPS budgets cover: coaching, referees and transportation costs for our teams, the FCHS Boosters are responsible for: equipment, uniforms, warm-ups and upkeep of the athletic facilities. We greatly appreciate your support!
Leaf Raking - Volunteer Parent/Athlete Participation
Every year, Winter sports athletes, coaches, and parents participate in the FCHS Leaf Raking fundraiser. We will need as many leaf rakers, parent drivers, and as much equipment to borrow as possible to get through all of the yards.
Here is the signup for athletes, adult drivers, and snack/supply donations:

Home Game Reminders
No Re-entry. All signs must be reviewed by an admin staff at the gate. Representatives from the Fairfax County Police Department, the Falls Church Administration, and the Falls Church Security Staff will continue to monitor the activities of our patrons in the parking lot, at the ticket gate, and inside the stadium to promote a safe and secure environment for both Falls Church fans, our visitors, and guests.
Student Pick Up at Events: To ensure students are getting picked up in a timely manner, all students who are waiting for a ride after a night event shall wait near the main entrance - a well lit area in front of the school. We encourage all students to plan for a ride ahead of time and to contact that ride before the event ends to ensure a safe and timely pick-up. It is an expectation that all students are picked up and off campus within 30 minutes of the event ending. For example - if a game ends at 9:00pm, all students should be off campus by 9:30pm. In the event a student is repeatedly staying late on campus, beyond the additional 30 minutes, the student’s ability to continue to attend night events may be impacted. Thank you for your cooperation!
VHSL & FCPS Sportsmanship
Falls Church fans are the best of the best. Falls Church Athletics always expects all guests to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner before, during and after the competition. We expect all guests to treat other guests, players, coaches and officials with courtesy. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at Falls Church High School by:
Cheering with class. Be a good sport. Be gracious in victory and accept defeat with dignity. Not encouraging unsportsmanlike conduct toward players, coaches, and officials. Encouraging your team regardless of their play. Treat all competitors fairly. Don’t show excessive displays of anger or frustration. Have the strength to overcome the temptation to demean others.
Concession Volunteers Needed!
Link To Sign Up! FCHS Home Games: Concessions and Spirit Wear Volunteers
The FCHS Athletic Boosters are excited to announce that athletic event concessions have officially opened in our brand-new spaces, and we need your help to make them a success!
Volunteering with Concessions is a great way to support Jaguars Athletics while giving back to FCHS. Your help provides fans with snacks and drinks, supports the Athletic Boosters, and, best of all, earns money that can be credited toward your athlete’s activity of your choice!
It’s also a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with other FCHS parents who generously give their time to make our school and athletic programs stronger.
And don’t worry; you won’t have to miss your athlete’s game! Shifts are organized so volunteers can take turns working and watching, making it easy to cheer on your Jaguar while still helping out. If your child plays JV, sign up for a varsity shift or vice versa!
Even a single shift makes a difference, and the more families who pitch in, the easier it is for everyone!
If you’re able to volunteer, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080E4AA8AA2FAB9-65750355-fchs and check back for more shifts, to be added soon. Please contact volunteers@fchsathleticboosters.org with questions.
Thank you for supporting our Jaguars and helping make FCHS athletics the best they can be! Go Jaguars!
