October 29, 2026
Hi Willow Springs families,
We are excited to announce that we are moving our annual Book Character Day to March to align with Read Across America Day and our spring activities that celebrate the joys of reading, storytelling, and literacy.
This means we are not having Book Character Day in October. This month has already been filled with so many exciting and engaging learning & growing opportunities across the school—author visits, field trips, visits with members from the GMU basketball team, Boosterthon Week & our annual Fun Run, along with powerful and engaging learning experiences in the classrooms on a daily basis!
Please do not send your student(s) to school in any Halloween costumes or accessories tomorrow, Friday, October 30th. This includes costume accessories such as toy weapons, masks, hats, wigs, face paint, fake blood, etc. that disrupt the learning environment and can lead to a violation of SR&R.
We are looking forward to celebrating in March 2027 with Book Character Day and other special events that will be held for Read Across America Week!
Sincerely,
Willow Springs School Staff
Sign Up for our Willow Springs Fun Run!
Dear Willow Springs families,
It’s time to rally together for our annual Willow Springs Fun Run fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $50,000 for supporting our school and community, which will enhance our school’s resources and provide our students with an even better educational experience.
To make things even more exciting, if we raise $50,000, we will earn an Inflatable Costume Race with our school administrators and/or secret special guests!
Plus, Great Wolf Lodge is joining in the fun! Every registered student will earn a Great Wolf Lodge waterpark day pass. Make sure your family is registered on MyBooster.com so your student can receive this reward, then share your student’s donation page with friends and family to get there!
Here’s how you can help:
1️⃣ Sign up at MyBooster.com
2️⃣ Share your student’s donation page with friends and family
3️⃣ Donate if you’re able
Thank you for your support!
