Fairfax Academy,
What an incredible end to the quarter! Our inaugural Haunted House curated by the Electrical Construction and Engineering 2 and 3 students was the perfect way to end the month. They collaborated with other Academy programs including Fashion Careers and Pro Photo. A wonderful celebration of all that is possible here at Fairfax Academy!
We hope that you have a chance to nominate a staff member from the Academy for the FCPS Outstanding Employee Awards. More details are below. This is a great time to give a loud shout out to someone from the Academy who has made a difference for your family. This is the first step for someone to be eligible for district level recognition.
This week we will only have shuttles for our AM classes on Friday. Next Monday and Tuesday are student holidays.
Looking forward to next month, we will host career presenters for our annual Career Experience Expo! Check our social media for timely highlights.

Friday, October 30 is the end of first quarter and is an "even" day with an early release.
Only 2nd Period Academy shuttles will run. Students are to remain at their base schools for 6th & 8th Periods.
Students do not have school on Monday, November 2 (Staff Development) and Tuesday, November 3 (Teacher Workday).

 Academy Collabs! Fashion & Electrical, Pro Photo & Dance- so many opportunities here at Fairfax Academy!
Fairfax Academy Dance, through the support of George Mason University's Center for the Arts, hosted a masterclass from a dancer from the world-renowned Compagnie Herve Koubi last week! An incredible opportunity we plan to repeat throughout the month of November!
