Veteran's Day Wall of Heroes - Request for Submissions

Click Here for the PDF Template

Chesterbrook Elementary is proud to honor families whose loved ones have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. On Wednesday, November 11, we will welcome veterans from Vinson Hall Retirement Community and our school community to share their experiences and help our students learn more about military service.

We honor their dedication and sacrifice with our Wall of Heroes, and all families are welcome to participate. Please consider having your child submit a “My Hero” dedication to celebrate a family member who has served in the military, in the United States or another country.

Veteran's Day Speakers

We look forward to continuing the tradition of helping our students learn more about military service by inviting speakers into our classrooms. Speakers can sign up here.  We are excited to hear from speakers about their experience in the military.

Friendly Reminder: Accessible Parking Spots Are Reserved for Those in Need

As our Kiss 'n' Ride loop gets busy during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, please remember that designated handicap parking spaces are reserved exclusively for vehicles displaying a valid disability placard or license plate.

Even if you are only stopping for a few seconds to let your child out, parking or idling in these spaces prevents families and community members with accessibility needs from safely accessing the school. Please help us keep arrival and dismissal smooth, safe, and inclusive for everyone by keeping these spots clear and using the standard Kiss 'n' Ride drop-off lane or a regular parking spot. Thank you for your cooperation and care for our school community!
