Have you joined the PTA yet this school year? Our goal is 300 members, and we are almost there! We currently have 225 members who are supporting our school in many different ways (field trips, Fall & Spring events, assemblies, staff appreciation week, etc.). We love having families come out & help out at school events, but joining the PTA does not mean you are required to volunteer. Let’s see if we can reach 250 members by next week!

Dear Families,
Our Boosterthon fundraiser was a huge success! We met our goal of $30,000. We can’t thank you enough for your support. We couldn’t have done it without you & our wonderful sponsors! Also, thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help out at our Fun Run today. It was so nice seeing many of you cheering on our students. What a great way to end our fundraiser! The students had an amazing time!
If you already registered your child(ren) on the Boosterthon website, you will receive a day pass to Great Wolf Lodge. It will be emailed to the email address you used to register. If you have not registered yet, that is no problem at all! You can still register at myboosterthon.com.
**Congratulations to Ms. Do Medina’s class for receiving the most donations! Since they are the top class, they will have the opportunity to slime the principal. We hope you’re ready, Principal Han!

Join us for a fun-filled evening at our Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, a two-hour early release day!
Set-up: 4:00 p.m.
Event: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
We’re looking for volunteers to help make the event a spooktacular success. You can participate by decorating a trunk, handing out candy, hosting a game or activity, or donating candy. Please use the link below if you are able to decorate a trunk and/or donate candy!

It is so hard to believe that we are almost done with the first quarter. The school year is zooming by!
Teachers & staff members will be working hard on Monday, 11/3 & Tuesday, 11/4 completing report cards and preparing their classrooms for the second quarter. If you could please donate one or more food items, that would be great. Thank you!!

Come out and join us for our next spirit event! It will be at Vertical Rock on Wednesday, December 2nd, from 2 - 4 p.m., which is an early release day. It will be a great way to connect with other families, but also give your child(ren) the opportunity to release any extra energy they may have. We look forward to seeing you that day!
Registration for the Science Olympiad is now open! It will be for students in grades 3 - 5. Don’t wait to register because sign-ups close on November 2nd! If you have any questions, please email Santosh at stem@cpespta.org.

Also, we are gathering a list of 6th graders who would be interested in competing in the Science Olympiad this year. The competition will be in February, and we need a minimum number of students to register as a team. If you are interested, please fill out the questionnaire using the link below.

Did you know that the largest indoor waterpark in Virginia is opening soon? The Kalahari Resort is a place your whole family can enjoy, and their waterpark is open year-round! If you book a visit to the resort on April 18th & 19th, you only pay $179/night, and a portion from each room that is booked will benefit our school’s PTA.
