Message from the President
Hello FHS Community!!
The fall weather has found us!! I love this time of year! We are quickly approaching the end of the first quarter! It seems like every newsletter I talk about what busy time of year it is. Soon will be my “favorite” busy time of year, but we won’t talk about that yet… One of my favorite fall traditions is the City of Fairfax Craft Fair. Below there are sign ups on how you can help make this event a success! Please consider helping if you can.
This past Thursday, we hosted our first after school fundraiser. We offered sweet treats including Homemade Cookie Dippers and Homemade Stuffed S'mores cookies. We reached our sales goal and we look forward to hosting our next event! Our incredibly creative and talented Hospitality Team provided the cookie dippers and other snacks for this fundraiser. I hope the kids enjoyed the a sweet end to their school day. Special Thanks to our parent volunteers and the FHS team.
We've been up to a lot and are already planning our next fundraiser for Tuesday, November 3rd at Daniel's Run Elmentary (DRES) from 6:30am-2pm! We are looking for Bake Sale Items, Drinks and Donations for grab-n' go items so please donate or contribute funds to help support the event. Additionally, we are looking for adult and student volunteers to help out. Student volunteers can earn service hours. Here's our Sign-up.

Election Day Fundraiser, Nov. 3 @ Daniel's Run
Spread the word because we are hosting our 2nd fundraiser this year at Daniel's Run Elementary on Election Day, Nov. 3! We plan to serve coffee, hot cocoa, bake sale items as well as grab n' go breakfast, lunch and snack items. In particular, we are looking for yummy bake sale items to appeal to the voters! Additionally, we are looking for adult and student volunteers to help us out. Students can sign-up to earn volunteer hours!
Peer Mentoring Donations Needed
Peer Mentoring Program - Please also consider donating to our Peer Mentoring program. The FHS peer mentoring program where 100 juniors and seniors serve as peer mentors to the incoming 9th grade class during Lion Time! Ms. Sharyn Hunt, peer mentoring program sponsor, has requested candy donations for their program. A special shout-out to Ms. Hunt!

Your participation is essential to the success of this event. As of right now we do not have a committee chair or venue for this event. The longer the committee waits the harder it will be to find an available venue. Please pass this info along to other senior parents. Email ANG@fairfaxPTSA.org if you have any questions.
It's still not to late to JOIN the PTSA! If you have joined and would like to support us further, you can also donate to our No Fuss Fundraiser.
