Crossfield ES Receives Purple Star Designation
The Virginia Council on the Educational Opportunity for Military Children voted on October 7, 2026 to approve Crossfield Elementary School as a recipient of the SY 2026-2027 Purple Star Award! Congratulations to our staff and students for making Crossfield a welcoming and supportive place, especially for our military connected students and their families.
Fun Fact: In just two years, FCPS has now achieved its goal of becoming a Purple Star Division by having all of its schools earn a purple star. FCPS is the only division of its size in the nation to achieve Purple Star designation. At FCPS, military families can find a school that not only meets their children’s needs but also provides the welcoming and supportive environment every military-connected family is looking for.
