Thank you for helping us celebrate our diversity and build a community where everyone belongs!

Warm regards,

Mrs. Pierson-Barr and Mr. Kilpatrick

Federal Impact Aid Survey

FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. The form is available in SIS ParentVUE under Online Packets, which is in the upper right corner of the screen after logging in. Please complete it as soon as possible. Schools will provide paper forms to families who have not completed the survey in ParentVUE starting Wednesday, October 28.

Your information will be kept strictly confidential.

Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is how we ensure we receive all the resources available to us from the federal government. For more information, please visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page.

Digital Citizenship

In a world filled with AI-generated content, helping students become independent, critical thinkers is more important than ever. Digital Citizenship Week provides an opportunity to strengthen the human skills students need to question information, analyze media, communicate responsibly, and make thoughtful choices in an increasingly digital world. During Digital Citizenship Week, students explored five connected topics:

  • Think Critically: Evaluate information before believing or sharing it.
  • Protect: Make choices that safeguard privacy, personal information, and safety.
  • Shape: Understand how digital choices shape identity and reputation.
  • Connect: Build respectful digital relationships and respond to harm.
  • Balance: Develop technology habits that support well-being.

The website, Common Sense Media has some great resources for families to continue some of these conversations!

Discussion questions and short activities that will inspire family fun and learning.
