Second graders enjoying the Fun Run on Tuesday!
Fairfax Villa Community,
Our five day week was packed with learning, fun, and community building! We were so proud of our students who participated in the Fun Run on Tuesday. It was a true team effort to raise funds for our school.
Thank you to our teachers, staff, students, and community members who were able to contribute to our school fundraiser. To date, we have passed our goal of raising $20,000 -- our school and the community has raised over $26,000! We are still accepting donations. Continue to share your student’s page at MyBooster.com to help us finish our fundraiser strong!
Looking into the next week, school will be closed for Staff Professional Development on Monday October 12th. We encourage parents and families to spend time together reading books, visiting the library, and practicing math facts! Our student’s love of learning begins at home, with you -- and we appreciate all you do at home to support your child’s success.
As always, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to connecting with you!
See you all soon,
Ms. Textoris and Mrs. Burke
We did it! Thanks to your incredible support, Fairfax Villa Elementary has raised over $26,000 and reached our goal of $25,000 for the STEAM Lab.
And there's even more to celebrate! Every registered family on MyBooster.com will receive their Great Wolf Lodge waterpark day pass by email.🐺🌊
Now's the time to check out the Reward Store on MyBooster.com! Students can use the points they've earned to choose rewards of their choice, and those rewards will be delivered right to our school.
We’re keeping MyBooster.com open for 5 more days as a bonus opportunity to continue supporting our school.
As a small thank you for being part of this amazing fundraiser, we've put together a Swag Bag as a token of our appreciation for your support. We hope you enjoy it!

The FCPS Office of Safety and Security and Safe Routes to School program are asking families to share their experiences traveling to and from their child’s school. The feedback will help inform the Fairfax County School Board’s annual assessment of traffic and pedestrian safety near schools.
The Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Survey asks about walking and biking routes, traffic near schools, kiss-and-ride experiences, accessibility, and other safety concerns.
Your feedback will help FCPS identify common issues. Your responses will be kept confidential and shared with school administrators and the Office of Safety and Security. The five-minute survey is open through Thursday, October 15.
Be sure to identify the school related to your feedback and include specific locations where you have observed a safety issue. If you have students at different schools in FCPS, please complete a different survey for each school.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact SafeRoutestoSchool@fcps.edu.
We are excited to welcome you to join us for an informative and interactive orientation where you’ll get to meet our Administrators and Parent Liaison in person. Come to connect, ask questions, and learn everything you need to know for a fantastic school year.

Where: Fairfax Villa Cafeteria
Time: 9:30 to 10:30am
