Sangster Falcon families — it’s time to create!
This year’s PTA Reflections theme is “What My Culture Means to Me,” and students can enter in all six arts categories.
Whether your child loves to write, draw, dance, make music, take photos, or create films, this is a wonderful chance to share their voice and creativity.
We are now accepting submissions!
Entries are due to PTA not later than 10 November 2026.

Please keep in mind, your student can have only one entry in each category. When filling out the Entry Form, you may leave the “Local PTA Information” section blank. We will fill that in!  Save the date! The West Springfield Pyramid Challenge is a FREE fun run that was started years ago with the goal of introducing cross-country running, encouraging community involvement, and fostering school spirit among the elementary schools of the West Springfield Pyramid. Students from the participating elementary schools will run a half-mile or one-mile course, depending on their grade level. The event also includes a unified heat with an accessible 200-meter course for students with physical and cognitive disabilities. The 2026 event will take place on Saturday, November 14 from 10am-12pm at Irving Middle School. Advance registration is required and the deadline to register is October 19:

We are always looking for volunteers! Please take the time to complete the FCPS Volunteer Screening and fill out the Google Volunteer form so that we can add you to our email distribution list.
Sangster Administration has a need for library volunteers and cafe volunteers as well as occasional opportunities like picture day, field day, etc. Please complete the FCPS Volunteer screening to be considered for these events. Opportunities go out to the email list and also get posted to Facebook.

Sangster Parents Facebook Group
You are invited to join the unofficial Facebook group for the Sangster community, Sangster Parents. Please note that anyone who requests to join, including someone added by an existing group member, must answer the membership questions and check the box indicating agreement to abide by the group rules. If your membership has not been approved, this is likely why; check your Facebook messages (you may have to dig around for the section for messages from non-friends) for assistance from an admin.
