The Liberty Link
As part of their Westward Expansion unit, students in Ms. Suraci and Mr. Van Vlack’s history classes learned what a typical school day was like in the Crouch School House, right here on Liberty’s campus.
A Note from the Principal
Dear Liberty Families,
The school year is moving quickly, and our staff and students have been hard at work here at Liberty. This week, it’s been a pleasure to spend some extended time in classrooms watching our students learn and work so hard. Their effort is a great reminder of how much they’re accomplishing each day.
With the quarter coming to a close in just a few weeks, I encourage you to check in with your child about how things are going and what they may need to complete before the end of the quarter. A little time to review upcoming assignments, assessments, and projects together can help students finish the quarter strong.
Monday is a school planning day for staff, so there will be no school for students. I hope you enjoy the long weekend!
-Mrs. Bromberg

Join us for our next Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting to discuss upcoming school events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support our students. All parents, guardians, and staff members are welcome.
We understand that families may occasionally want to treat their students to a meal from a favorite restaurant. To help keep lunchtime running smoothly for everyone, students may not receive food deliveries from DoorDash, Uber Eats, or similar services. If a family member drops off food from an outside restaurant, the student will be provided an alternate location in the main office to enjoy their meal. Thank you for helping us minimize disruptions in the cafeteria and keep lunch running smoothly.
Parents and guardians interested in Full-Time Advanced Academic Program (AAP) services must submit a referral form before the designated deadline.

The FCPS Office of Safety and Security and Safe Routes to School program are asking families to share their experiences traveling to and from their child’s school. The feedback will help inform the Fairfax County School Board’s annual assessment of traffic and pedestrian safety near schools.
The Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Survey asks about walking and biking routes, traffic near schools, kiss-and-ride experiences, accessibility, and other safety concerns.
Your feedback will help FCPS identify common issues. Your responses will be kept confidential and shared with school administrators and the Office of Safety and Security. The five-minute survey is open through Thursday, October 15.
Be sure to identify the school related to your feedback and include specific locations where you have observed a safety issue. If you have students at different schools in FCPS, please complete a different survey for each school.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact SafeRoutestoSchool@fcps.edu.
