September 29 Community Meeting About Proposed Expansion of Full-Time AAP to all FCPS Middle Schools
September 29, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Key Middle School.
While this meeting will focus on Key Middle School, it will also include information about the proposal that impacts Hayfield and Twain Middle Schools.
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is proposing to open a new Full-time Advanced Academic Program Center at Key Middle School. If approved by the School Board, students who live within the Key Middle School boundary will attend Key Middle School for Full-Time AAP, starting with grade 7 in SY 2027-28 and grades 7-8 in SY 2028-29.
There will be a community meeting for interested families to learn more about the proposal to expand Full-Time AAP to all FCPS middle schools (Click to read the proposal) and provide feedback on September 29, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Key Middle School.
