As of today, 95.1% of our students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade are attending, connecting, and attending school regularly. Our chronic absentee rate is currently 4.9%. Our chronic absentee rate on this day last year was 8.9%. We are indeed achieving excellence together. Thank you, families, for prioritizing daily school attendance! |
Three-Hour Early Release Information
Our first early release Wednesday will be held on Wednesday, September 30th. Each elementary school will have a total of four early release days throughout the school year. Lunch will be provided on early release Wednesdays.
Early release Wednesdays for Dranesville Elementary School:
- September 30
- November 18
- January 13
- April 7
On Wednesday, September 30th our teachers in grades K-6 will be engaging in professional learning to support the implementation of SPIRE, literacy intervention. This intervention is being used in K-6 classrooms to ensure that all students have the skills to read on or above grade level.

You can manage lunch accounts by adding funds, setting up automatic refills, and tracking purchases - all in one place.
