It was great to see so many community members in attendance on Wednesday evening at the meeting for the Bren Mar Park boundary study.
Staff presented four options:

Option 3A: No change to boundary;

Option 3B: No change to boundary; Families can opt for a priority transfer to Annandale HS – no transportation provided;

Option 3C: All of Bren Mar Park ES to be reassigned from Edison HS to Annandale HS;

Option 3D: Part of Bren Mar Park North and West of I-395 (SPAs 7115, 7116, 8006) to be reassigned from Edison HS to Annandale HS.

Draft Scenario 3-A:
- No change to current school boundaries.

- All areas remain in their current high school

● South: Manchester Boulevard and Beulah Street intersection
● East: Edison High School

Draft Scenario 3-B:
- No change to current school boundaries.
- Reassigns 0 students
- All areas remain in their current high school with the option for students living in the Bren Mar Park ES boundary to transfer to Annandale HS instead of attending Edison HS. Students opting to transfer must provide their own transportation.

Glasgow Boundary Meeting Reminders
Monday, September 28, 2026 - 6:00 p.m. - Falls Church High School
Staff will present NEW boundary scenarios for Boundary Study #4 (which includes Beech Tree ES, Belvedere ES, and Glasgow MS). The updated scenarios will reflect feedback received during community meetings as well as feedback from the Superintendent’s Boundary Review Advisory Committee (BRAC).
The Boundary Explorer Tool is expected to be updated prior to the community meeting. Please be sure to attend and provide your feedback to inform the Superintendent’s recommendations for the Board’s approval. This meeting will also include scenarios for several other school communities that are not in the Mason District.
Monday, October 5, 2026 - 6:00 p.m. - Glasgow Middle School
This meeting has been planned to focus specifically on the Glasgow, Beech Tree, and Belvedere portion of the larger Study #4.
Both of these meetings are an opportunity to share feedback, but this second meeting is only for the Belvedere/Beech Tree/Glasgow/Justice communities.
