Principal's Message

Happy Friday West Potomac Community,
On Friday September 18th, 40 Leadership and AVID students (and some friends) participated in Fairfax’s Volunteer Fest held at NVCC Annandale. Students helped pack meals for food insecure families in the region and during our shift we helped pack over 50,000 meals.
Shout out to Mr. Joe Antonucci, Ms. Rodriguez Figueroa, Ms. Borghard, and Mr. Cabezas for chaperoning our Wolverine volunteers.
It was a great break from the classroom, and students had a fun time while giving back!
I would like to send a HUGE thank you to our PTSA and community members that are making donations to our cell-phone FREE lunch time activities. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
Parents and guardians, recently we have heard there have been some drinking incidents in the community during the weekends. While this is not directly linked to school, I want to reiterate that homeowners can be charged or cited if police show up at a party at your house where students are caught drinking alcohol. Just a little reminder, those that host can lose the most.
Thank you all for another amazing week.

New ParentVUE Mobile App Is Here
The new ParentVUE mobile app is available in the Apple and Google App stores. This new app provides parents and caregivers with a more secure sign-in. Families must download the new app by December 2026 to ensure they have continued mobile access to their ParentVUE account. The previous app will be deactivated at the end of 2026.
In the new app, families can enroll in multi-factor authentication (MFA) for FCPS Single Sign-On. While enrollment is optional, we strongly recommend that everyone enable this security feature. Learn more about installing the new ParentVUE app. Parents needing assistance should submit a Parent Support Request.
