Hello Westlawn Families!
One of the things that makes Westlawn so special is the way our families come together to support our students and our school. ❤️💙 As we head into a busy and exciting October, we have several opportunities for families to get involved—and we would love your help!
We know everyone has different schedules, responsibilities, and availability. There is no expectation that you help with everything. Whether you can give 30 minutes, bring a baked good, volunteer for one shift, or help at just one event, every contribution makes a difference.
Here are some upcoming ways to get involved:
🚶 Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day
📅 Wednesday, October 7
⏰ 8:25–8:45 AM
Help us welcome and cheer on students and families as they walk, bike, and roll to school! This is a great opportunity if you only have a little time to volunteer.
🧁 Sweet Treats Raffle at our PTA Meeting
📅 Thursday, October 8
⏰ 6:00–7:00 PM
Bring a favorite homemade goodie to donate to our fun raffle at the end of the PTA meeting! Families and children are welcome to attend the meeting, and you don't have to be a PTA member to join us.
🎉 Westlawn Day Festival
📅 Saturday, October 10
⏰ Volunteer opportunities available between 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
Westlawn Day is one of our biggest community events, and many helping hands are needed! We will have different volunteer opportunities throughout the morning, so you can choose a role and time that works for you.
You don't have to volunteer for an entire event. When more families are able to help—even for a short time—the work is shared and we can continue providing fun, welcoming experiences for our students and families.

You do not need to be a PTA member or have previous volunteer experience to help. Everyone is welcome!
And if volunteering isn't possible for your family right now, that's okay too. Attending our events, participating when you can, and simply being part of our Westlawn community are all meaningful ways to support our school.
Thank you for helping us make Westlawn such a wonderful community for our children. We appreciate every family who gives their time, talents, donations, and support in whatever way they can. ❤️💙
With appreciation,

🎉 Festival Westlawn Day
Con mucho agradecimiento,
