Message from the President
Hello FHS Community!!
It was so great for our board to meet and chat with so many of you on Back to School Night. If you stopped by our table you heard about some of the events and programs the PTSA has supported in the past and have planned for the coming year. As exciting as it is at the beginning of each school year, there is also a lot of uncertainty as to whether or not we will be able to support all our programs and events this year. One thing is for sure, we need your support! Your support puts us that much closer to fulfilling as much as we can for FHS! Your dues help fund our annual budget and your participation helps to get our events off the ground. Please join now and spread the word! You can also donate to our No Fuss Fundraiser.

Last week I mentioned that the PTSA is supporting the FHS peer mentoring program where 100 juniors and seniors serve as peer mentors to the incoming 9th grade class during Lion Time! Ms. Sharyn Hunt, peer mentoring program sponsor, has requested candy donations for their program. A special shout-out to Ms. Hunt!
Additionally, the PTSA is organizing two Fall Fundraisers: 1) an After School FHS Fundraiser on Thursday 10/15/2026 and
an Election Day Fundraiser on Tuesday 11/3/2026 at Daniel’s Run Elementary.
These Fall Fundraisers will help support our 26-27 programs including teacher / staff and student club support, college/career activities plus teacher/staff appreciation events.

All Night Grad Info Session Tomorrow
SENIOR PARENTS!! I will be having an information session for All Night Grad (ANG) on Wednesday evening, September 23rd at 7pm. I will give an overview of the event and upcoming fundraiser, and discuss the location for the ANG event itself. Some of this will be a repeat of my June meeting with some updates, and minus the technical difficulties (I hope!).

Principal's Coffee, Oct. 9, 7:30am, Career Center
Dr. Aye hosts a "Principal's Coffee" that gives parents and guardians a chance to stop by and say hello and hear updates about the school in a relaxed setting. It's a casual get-together and a nice way to share ideas and insights about all things Fairfax.
Please join us for the first Principal's Coffee of the school year, Friday, October 9th, 7:30-8:30am, in the Career Center, room L106. All visitors must sign in at the kiosk in the main office.
