Please join Bryant staff for a family dinner and Back to School Night. A family style pasta dinner will be served beginning at 6:30 pm. Our program will begin at 7:15 pm. Families will have the opportunity to meet teachers and learn about your child’s classes.

This is a friendly reminder that our Back-to-School Night and Family Dinner is just one week away! We are so excited to share a meal and connect with you next week. The pasta meal and transportation are provided through our Title 1A grant.

Academic & Testing Updates As we roll into our third week of school, here is what our students are working on:

Senior Graduation Checks: We are actively working with our Seniors to review their February or June graduation requirements and keep them on track for the finish line!

SOL Testing: SOL retakes/testing begin this week. Students who are testing have been notified and will be working directly with our School Test Coordinator, Ms. Davison, to complete their exams.
Yondr Pouch Update Last week, our students officially began using Yondr pouches—and they did a fantastic job adapting! It was wonderful to see students more deeply engaged in their classroom lessons and having conversations during lunch. If you have any questions regarding our pouch policy, please feel free to reach out to any member of our admin team.

Your Child’s Presence at School Matters
The beginning of the school year is the best time to develop strong attendance habits! Students who attend school regularly are more likely to perform well in reading and math, develop strong social and emotional skills, and graduate from high school on time. Help prepare your child for future success by helping them build good habits.

Recognize Bryant HS Staff through FCPS CARES

The FCPS CARES Program allows parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees who go above and beyond to help others and show they care about their students, colleagues, and the community.
SEL Screener Parent/Guardian Notification
The Fall Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener will be administered to students in grades 3 through 12 in October. Students use the SEL Screener twice a year to share their perspectives on how well their school and community help them develop skills they need to succeed. The screener works by asking questions or presenting statements that students can think about and respond to. This gives students a way to share how well their school community makes them feel valued, included, and supported.
After each screening, results are available in the Documents tab of SIS ParentVUE and mailed to families without a ParentVUE account. For more information, including SEL Screener questions and opt-out information, please visit the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener webpage.
Remember to Complete Permission Forms for School Resources
Families can now easily grant consent for their children to access a variety of school resources through the Parent Digital Consent system. This online tool can be accessed using your SIS ParentVUE account login. Parents can easily opt their child in or out of a variety of resources, including online educational tools, school counseling services, and more.

Save the Date: Community Conversations with Superintendent Reid
Your voice matters, and Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid wants to hear from you! At FCPS, parents are partners, working with us to set our students up for long-term success at school and in life.
A series of Community Conversations will be held across the school division. You are invited to share your thoughts with Dr. Reid and ask her questions. Events are planned for the following dates at 6:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted):
- Wednesday, September 16, 6:45 p.m., at McNair Elementary School
- Monday, September 28, at Riverside Elementary School
- Monday, October 19, at Spring Hill Elementary School
- Monday, October 26, at Beech Tree Elementary School
- Thursday, October 29, at North Springfield Elementary School
- Friday, November 13, at Colin Powell Elementary School
Registration links will be shared soon. Childcare and interpretation services will be provided. Events are one-hour long and open to all. Find out about other opportunities to connect with Dr. Reid.
