Dear Wolverine Community,
Happy first Friday of the new school year!
We have our graduation date confirmed! We will graduate on June 3rd, 2027, at 2 p.m. at Eagle Bank Arena! Go Wolverines!
I want to remind families to please reiterate the VA state law about cell phones and personal devices. They are to be away during the entire school day, which includes hallways, bathroom and cafeteria. Please help us remind your students to keep phones away during the school day.

Help Us Bring Offline Fun to the West Potomac Cafeteria!
New this year! All FCPS students will not have access to cell phones, earbuds or other personal devices during the entire school day- to include passing time and lunch. Help us give West Potomac students a break from their screens during lunch and encourage real-world connections, friendly competition, and creativity!
To make this happen, we need YOUR help to build our West Potomac Games Library.
📦 What We’re Looking For:
Got extra games sitting in your closets that are looking for a second life? We are accepting new or gently used donations of:

Card Games: Uno, Monopoly Deal, Phase 10, Standard Playing Cards

Board Games: Connect 4, Chess/Checkers, Battleship, Jenga, Guess Who? (Quick 15–20 min games work best!)

Craft Supplies: Coloring books, colored pencils, sketchpads, origami paper, yarn/string for friendship bracelets
-
Puzzles & Brain Teasers: Rubik's cubes, small 100–300-piece puzzles, word search/sudoku pads
⚠️ Please make sure donated games have all their essential pieces intact!

SIS ParentVUE
Are you working your way through back-to-school forms and checklists? Make sure you have a SIS ParentVUE account for your family and log in to find important forms and updates.
- Be among the first to know about weather closings, bus delays, and other critical communications from your school and FCPS by providing your cell phone number and email in ParentVUE. To update your contact information in ParentVUE, click the “Online Packets” tab in the upper right of the screen, then click the “Online Verification/Update” icon.
- Submit daylong absences by clicking “Report Absence.”
If you do not have a ParentVUE account, contact your child’s school for an activation code and follow the directions on the SIS ParentVUE Account webpage.

PTSA News
It's membership time! NOW is the time to join the PTSA for the 2026-27 school year. Dues are currently $25 for a family membership, the price increases on 10/1. Seniors must be members to be eligible for PTSA scholarships later in the year. Worried you're already too busy? Just joining makes a difference, membership dues are a huge part of our budget.
