Principal's Note
Dear Sandburg Families,
What a great first week! Our students did an amazing job learning and following our new procedures and expectations. Students have also done a fantastic job keep personal devices away for the day. We are really setting the PACE for a successful school year.
We are still learning the OpenGate system, and we appreciate your patience as we become more familiar with the process. Please help by reminding your child not to bring unnecessary metal items to school, such as eyelash curlers and metal boxes.
Each day, students should be prepared to remove the following items from their backpacks before going through the system:
- Computers
- Binders
- Eyeglass cases
- Umbrellas
- Metal spiral notebooks
As we continue learning the system, the process will become easier. Thank you for your patience and for helping us keep Sandburg Middle School safe!
Jennifer Laxton
