Valid ID Required

🪪All Visitors/Volunteers MUST Have ID

Division-wide in FCPS, all visitors and volunteers must check in at the main office and present a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, DMV identification card, military ID, or passport.

To pick up a student, office staff MUST see an ID to verify you are on the emergency care form and the student can be released to you.

Raptor Visitor App

📱For Visitors/Volunteers: Raptor Safe App

For those who need to attend a meeting or event during the school day, or to volunteer in the library, cafe or classroom, we recommend downloading the Raptor Safe app to ensure a faster sign in process.

Instead of using your driver's license, scanning both sides, and taking a selfie every time you come into the school, you set up your Raptor Safe app at home.

Then when you get to school, you pull up a secure QR code, scan it, select the reason, and your badge will print out!

This will work at any FCPS school. Search your app or play store for the Raptor Safe app. See instructions on how to set it up.

Please remember:

If you are signing out a student, you need to show your ID; the Raptor app is not sufficient.

😍Interesting in Volunteering at Sangster?

All prospective volunteers must be registered and approved through Volunteer FCPS. Complete the following steps:

  1. Register in the Volunteer FCPS online volunteer management system to create a profile.
  2. Complete our FCPS  Volunteer Orientation
  3. Submit an online volunteer application that includes your contact information, areas of interest, and availability.
  4. Depending on the level of involvement, some volunteers may be required to undergo background checks.

🚌Student ID Cards for Bus Riders

We are distributing student ID cards to all our students who ride the school bus or use FCPS transportation services.

Students who have student ID cards should begin tapping as they board and exit the bus. Only students who use FCPS transportation services will be provided with a student ID card at this time.

We ask for your patience! Bus drivers will begin checking in students next week and may need some extra time at each bus stop while they do this. The transportation team is working hard to minimize any potential delays.

Learn more about the bus navigation and student ID cards.

Forgotten Items: Drop Off, Email Teacher

🏈Pyramid Night: 9/10, 5 pm-6:30 pm

Pyramid Night will be celebrated at Lake Braddock Secondary School during the first home football game on Thursday, Sept. 10. Free admission to the celebration on the front field start at 5 pm and wrap up at 6:30 pm before the 7 pm football game.

  • Obstacle Course
  • Food Trucks

🚨Reminder: Football Game Safety/Security Update

New this year, FCPS is implementing additional safety and security measures at all varsity football games.

Now, all spectators will participate in security screenings using the same weapons detection technology introduced in our middle and high schools last school year. A standardized bag policy will also be in place to help ensure a safe, efficient entry process for everyone attending our games.

These enhancements are designed to support a safe and welcoming environment while allowing families, students, and community members to enjoy Friday night football. We encourage attendees to arrive a little earlier than usual to allow time for screening. Get more information about weapons screening at football games.
