The Liberty Link
Students build, create, and collaborate during a first-day team-building activity in Ms. Kaseta’s art class.
A Note from the Principal
Dear Liberty Families,
What a wonderful first week at Liberty! Our teachers have been filled with energy and enthusiasm, and our students have been polite, welcoming, and ready to learn. It has been great to see our school community come back to life.
This year, you will hear us talk often about what it means to ROAR as a Lion: Relationships, Ownership, Awareness, and Resiliency. These values guide how we treat one another, approach our learning, make choices, and respond when things do not go as planned. They represent the kind of school community we are working together to build.
Students will receive their school-issued laptops this week through their PE class. These devices are provided for schoolwork and academic purposes only. As a school, we will be intentional about technology use and ensuring students have a balanced approach to using devices at school, with technology supporting, not replacing, meaningful learning and interaction.
We are also looking forward to welcoming our families for Back-to-School Night on Tuesday. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, learn more about the school year, and strengthen our partnership between home and school.
Thank you for your continued support as we begin this school year together. We hope you have a restful weekend, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
-Mrs. Bromberg

We will begin distributing student ID cards to all our students who ride the school bus or use FCPS transportation services.
Students will get their ID cards when they receive their chromebooks.
ID cards should be worn or attached to your child’s backpack and brought to the bus each day. Ask your child to put their student ID card away until the end of the day.
Students who have student ID cards should begin tapping as they board and exit the bus. Only students who use FCPS transportation services will be provided with a student ID card at this time.
We ask for your patience! Bus drivers are checking in students and may need some extra time at each bus stop while they do this. The transportation team is working hard to minimize any potential delays.
Learn more about the bus navigation and student ID cards.
