Thank you for coming to Open House! We look forward to seeing our Seahawks on Monday, August 24th. Have a fabulous weekend.


 

As summer winds down, our school and staff are looking forward to welcoming students back to our classrooms. Please carefully read the information below for pertinent information on the procedures for arrival and dismissal. 

We also ask that you log into ParentVue and respond to the various opt-in or opt out opportunities.

  • PAC/ECCB: 9:30–10:00 am – Students report directly to their classroom to meet their teacher.
  • New to Silverbrook (except kindergarten): 9:30–10:00 am – Students report to the café for a welcome presentation and guided tour.
  • Designated Populations: 10:30–11:00 am – Students report to their general and special education classrooms.
  • Grades K–6 (Last Names A–M): 11:00–11:30 am – Students report to their classroom.
  • Grades K–6 (Last Names N–Z): 11:30 am–12:00 pm – Students report to their classroom.

Monday, August 24

  • Students and families can enter the building at 8:35 (when the first bell rings). 
  • Families can walk their students to class.
  • Families are invited to the Boo-hoo, Ya-hoo breakfast in the library at 9:00am
  • Families are asked to drop students off at the classroom to allow teachers time to  begin building relationships with students. 

Tuesday, August 25

  • Students and families can enter the building at 8:35 am (when the first bell rings). 
  • Families can walk their students to class.
  • Families are asked to drop students off at the classroom to allow teachers time to  begin building relationships with students. 

Wednesday, August 26 

  • Families will drop students at Kiss and Ride or walker door. 
  • Students will walk on their own to class. 
  • Kindergarten bus students will be escorted by a patrol, car riders and walkers will be escorted by their instructional assistant.

Thursday, August 27 

  • Families will drop students at Kiss and Ride or walker door.
  • Students will walk on their own to class. 
  • Kindergarten bus students will be escorted by a patrol, car riders and walkers will be escorted by their instructional assistant

Friday, August 28

  • Families will drop students at Kiss and Ride or walker door.
  • Students will walk on their own to class. 
  • Kindergarten bus students will be escorted by a patrol, car riders and walkers will be escorted by their instructional assistant. .

Dismissal Procedures

We will continue to use our silent dismissal process. 

  • Patrols, Kiss and ride and Walkers will be called first, these students will go to the gym for dismissal. Kiss and Ride students will sit quietly in the gym to wait for their car number or day care van to arrive. 
  • Walkers will walk to the gym and leave at Door 12. There will be a staff member at the door to ensure every student is retrieved. 
  • Kindergarten students will be escorted to the gym by their instructional assistant, who will ensure the adult to adult transfer occurs. 
  • Bus riders will be called at approximately 3:33pm. There are about three buses called every minute. 
  • SACC students are the last to be dismissed from their classrooms.

  • Grades 4–6: Monday, August 31, 6:30–8:00 PM
  • Grades PK–3: Tuesday, September 1, 6:30–8:00 PM Each night includes two identical sessions:
    • Session 1: 6:30–7:10 PM
    • Session 2: 7:20–8:00 PM

Goodies with Grandparents In honor of National Grandparents Day, we invite grandparents to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 2:30–3:30pm for treats, crafts, and reading time with their grandchild(ren). Please RSVP by noon September 1 using this google form. We ask that parents leave room for grandparents only. Once we have reached capacity the form will be closed.
