Principal's Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

We hope you and your family had a wonderful summer filled with time to relax, recharge, and make special memories! As summer comes to a close, there is a wonderful sense of excitement in the air at Eagle View.  We are so excited to welcome our amazing teachers and staff back to Eagle View this week as we prepare for another wonderful school year. Most of all, we can’t wait to welcome back our Eagles!

Our Open House is Thursday, August 20. To help with parking and provide families with a more comfortable experience, we will offer two sessions:

  • Last names A–L: 1:00–1:45 p.m.
  • Last names M–Z: 2:00–2:45 p.m.

Families are encouraged to bring school supplies to Open House. This will make the first day of school a little easier for everyone—and a lot lighter for our students!

We will also offer a Soft Open House from 9:30–10:30 a.m. on August 20 for students who may feel overwhelmed by larger crowds. This session is by invitation, and families have already been contacted. However, if you feel your child would benefit from the Soft Open House, please reach out to us.

And then…the day we’ve all been waiting for! The first day of school is Monday, August 24! We are ready for the smiles, hugs, learning, laughter, and energy that our students bring to our building. We can’t wait to see you!

Here’s to a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year!

Sincerely,

KJ An

Principal

FCPS is launching a new bus navigation system, which includes student ID cards for students who ride the bus. Students will use the cards to tap on and off the bus, helping FCPS and families know exactly which students are riding which buses.

Learn more about the new system and how it will improve route efficiency, safety, and transparency with families. Check out the frequently asked questions for families

Building a Brighter Future, Together: FCPS Family Academy

The FCPS Family Academy is where families can learn and get support for their child’s school journey.

We know that parents and caregivers are critically important in their child’s education. The Family Academy lists classes, webinars, workshops, and programs offered by FCPS to help you support your child's needs and learning at home. The Family Academy also includes information about resources available to help every family ensure their child has what they need to succeed.

Visit the Family Academy webpage. Check out its catalog for upcoming classes, workshops, and webinars to help families learn about FCPS, parenting, early literacy, and how to partner with schools.

Understanding Student Rights and Responsibilities Updates: New Universal Grade Matrices for Families

Families are encouraged to review the updated FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R) document, which explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses in order to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable, and supportive school environment.

Updates for the 2026-27 school year include new Universal Grade Matrices (UGMs). UGMs are charts that show behavior expectations and school responses by grade level (K-3, 4-8, and 9-12). These at-a-glance resources (in Appendix D of the SR&R) are designed to make it easier for parents and caregivers to understand how schools respond to different types of behavior concerns.

Visit the SR&R webpage for more information and to review additional updates to the SR&R for the 2026-27 school year.

We encourage our community to show our staff that their hard work is appreciated!
