Now Hiring: Dining Room Assistant
Join our Garfield team as a Dining Room Assistant and help create a safe, welcoming, and positive lunchtime experience for our students.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising students during lunch.
- Assisting with student clean-up.
- Maintaining a safe, orderly, and respectful dining environment.
- Dismissing students to their teachers at the end of lunch.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (hourly position)
Please Note: Some schedule flexibility is required on 3-hour early release days and 2-hour delayed opening days.

Open House & Back to School Nest Fest!
Welcome back eagles! Mark your calendars for Friday, August 21st as we kick off the 2026–2027 school year together! We're combining Open House, Back to School Night, and a Community Nest Fest into one exciting afternoon and evening for Garfield families.
🏫 Open House & Back to School Session (K–6 Families)
This is a wonderful opportunity to:
- Meet your child's teacher
- Visit the classroom and explore the school
- Help your child become familiar with their new learning environment
- Learn about classroom routines, daily schedules, curriculum, communication, and ways we'll partner together to support your child's success
- Logistics and more details are coming soon!
🎉 Community Nest Fest
Afterward, stay and celebrate with our Garfield community! Families are invited to enjoy an evening of fun, connection, and fellowship on the playground. Food trucks will be available if you'd like to purchase dinner, or feel free to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxing meal with family and friends.

2026 - 2027 School Supply List
Every Garfield Eagle deserves to start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. To ensure that happens, Garfield Elementary will provide school supplies for any student who needs them.
For families who enjoy shopping for back-to-school supplies or would like to purchase their child's classroom materials, the list below is offered as an optional guide. Whether you choose to purchase supplies or not, every student will have what they need for a successful school year.
